About Making Muscles Move
An occupational therapy program to support those with muscle disorders, like myositis, by giving them exposure to kickboxing. Doing this with an eye towards helping folks that don’t have the financial resources to participate in such programs to gain knowledge and ball rolling on this one of a kind experience. The 30 to 40-minutes of traditional boxing class, one to two times a week, will include a combination of heaving bag work, weight training, cardio, yoga/stretching, and breathing techniques. Each class will help improve and encourage the client with their mobility, strength, and socialization skills. We will provide modification and personalized treatments to each person’s needs to empower and provide overall better quality of life.
