Many ways to donate and make a difference

Will you help make an impact?

There are many reasons why donating to MSU is beneficial to you and to our members. MSU is an all volunteer-managed organization meaning that over 90% of your donation goes directly to helping myositis patients and their care partners. Also, your donation is tax-deductible.

MSU operates on the donations you provide to create new programs and services, as well as continuing to operate those already in existence. We have many plans for the future, but without funding, they will never come to light.

So, we are looking to you, myositis patients, family members, friends, and the public to help us help our members through education, financial assistance, support, and advocacy. You can make a difference with a donation as little as $5. Setting up a recurring monthly donation will have an even larger impact.

We are a nonprofit operated by volunteers, founded by Myositis patients for Myositis patients.

Create your own Myositis Facebook Fundraiser

We believe in the power of our passionate volunteers, members, and supporters and this is why we are asking you to help us by creating your own MSU fundraiser for #MyositisAwareness.

In order to help myositis patients, we need to shine a light on Myositis by raising awareness and educating patients, caregivers, physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers on how to recognize the symptoms and react swiftly to diagnose and start treatment, both medicinal and physical therapy. It still takes over 3 years for many to get a proper diagnosis.

As more and more research and clinical trials are focused on Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies, we are working to help match patients with ongoing studies. This impacts all patients as drugs designed specifically for myositis are brought to market.

You can help us continue the important patient-centered work we are doing by creating your own fundraiser, making a financial contribution, signing up to Volunteer, and in many other ways. We thank you for your support!
