Dr. Melissa Costner is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology with over two decades of experience treating skin manifestations of autoimmune and rheumatic diseases, including lupus, scleroderma, and dermatomyositis. A Texas native, she trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she later joined the faculty and built a reputation as a specialist in this area, contributing to research, book chapters, and clinical guidelines before moving into private practice in 2007. She has been recognized as a D Magazine “Best Doctor” for 21 consecutive years and is a recipient of the Legacy Award. Dr. Costner is known for her collaborative, patient-centered approach and her deep clinical expertise in complex autoimmune skin conditions.
