Myositis group member, Larry M., shows us how he “Inspector Gadgets” his way through myositis.

If you are interested in how he “MacGyver’s” adaptations for things such as easier-to-use pens for hand weakness with fishing bobbers you are in for a treat!

Meet Larry M., living with Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM)

Larry says, “I was diagnosed with IBM in December of 2019 but have been living with it for 10-12 years. I’ve always exercised and tried to maintain a level of fitness and IBM has made that difficult in many ways but I have tried to adapt things to help me continue doing so. In 2013 I ran a half marathon, and today 100 yards would be nice. But I continue to do all I can via weights and a Stationary bike. The doctor who diagnosed me said that I’m still as functional as I am because of what I’ve done in the past and to never stop doing what has worked for me.”
