Watch the recording of The Power of Your Voice: MSU Pain Study

MSU is taking the lead in addressing critical quality of life issues such as pain and pain treatment in Myositis, the idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM).

We gathered in a casual fireside chat for a retrospective look at how a community call to action led to a seminal study on pain in Myositis and what it means for the community.

We invited everyone who played a role in this success, including Drs Salman Bhai and Abhiram Bhashyam, co-authors of “Pain profile and opioid medication use in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies”, which has been published in Rheumatology.

Joining from MSU: Jerry Williams, Emily Filmore, Lynn Wilson, and Manuel Lubinus. Learn more about each of them by visiting our board members page.

Drs. Bhai and Bhashyam discuss the next steps we are planning as follow-up and take questions about pain.
