There are over 80 autoimmune diseases with Myositis and its subtypes included (Polymyositis, Dermatomyositis, Inclusion Body Myositis, and the Juvenile forms of Dermatomyositis and Polymyositis). There are also overlap syndromes with Myositis including other autoimmune diseases such as Scleroderma, Lupus, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Raynaud’s Phenomenon, and others like Rheumatoid Arthritis.
We all face a tough battle living with rare, autoimmune diseases like myositis. Remember to Be Kind as we never know what one is dealing with on a particular day.
