Are you ready to get involved?
Join as a Board Member, Volunteer, or become a Group Admin!
As we continue our rapid growth, we are looking for Volunteers and Board Members who are interested in donating their time to help MSU be the very best we can be. There is a lot involved in nonprofit work and the more people we have on our team the better!
Do you have 8-15 hours a month available? Do you have special talents or skills relating to non-profit work and/or administrative tasks? Fundraising and events experience? Grants and proposal writing experience? Other experience that you believe would help us? We want you on our team!
We ask our Volunteers and Board Members to read our Mission Statement to ensure you agree with our future goals:
Our mission: Myositis Support and Understanding (MSU) is dedicated to improving the lives of Myositis patients through public policy, self-advocacy programs, need-based financial assistance for medical-related expenses, and to provide support and education to patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, the general public, and legislators about Myositis.
MSU will foster direct involvement with other Myositis organizations to help promote treatment innovation and research with our collective eyes on a cure and provide financial support to organizations that share similar visions.
In short, we want you! The secret to a well-run organization is the interest and participation of its constituents. MSU is no different! In fact, we are built on the idea that Myositis patients and family members/friends can help others affected by Myositis in effective and comprehensive ways. MSU is looking to add a number of admins to our groups to redistribute the “work/play” load, and help keep us running like a “well-oiled machine” – do you have a few hours (8-15 per week) to donate to help continue to make this a reality? If so, apply below.
Please note that we are looking for Board Members who have some non-profit and/or marketing experience. If you, or a friend or family member of yours, are interested in joining us, please share this with them.
